Marcin Liber

Born in 1970. For many years associated with the alternative theatre scene in Poznań. He made his public theatre debut in 2008 with the performance ID at the Contemporary Theatre in Szczecin. Since then, he has directed over 30 productions. Marcin Liber collaborates with some of the most interesting contemporary playwrights, including Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, Magda Fertacz, Sylwia Chutnik, Dorota Masłowska, Marcin Cecko, Jarek Murawski, and Michał Kmiecik. For his theatrical projects, he engages artists from a wide range of fields: visual artists, contemporary music composers, choreographers, and dancers. He is also a recipient of numerous significant theatre awards. He has worked, among others, at the Dramatic Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw; at the Stary Theatre, Ludowy Theatre, and Łaźnia Nowa in Kraków; at the Contemporary Theatre and Polish Theatre in the Underground in Wrocław; and in theatres in Legnica, Wałbrzych, Łódź, Lublin, Gdańsk, Gniezno, Poznań, and Kielce. Marcin Liber współpracuje z najciekawszymi współczesnymi dramaturżkami i dramaturgami m.in. z Małgorzatą Sikorską-Miszczuk, Magdą Fertacz, Sylwią Chutnik, Dorotą Masłowską, Marcinem Cecko, Jarkiem Murawskim oraz Michałem Kmiecikiem. Do swoich teatralnych przedsięwzięć angażuje twórców najróżniejszych dziedzin sztuki: artystów wizualnych, twórców muzyki współczesnej, choreografów i tancerzy. Jest także laureatem wielu ważnych w środowisku teatralnym nagród. Pracował między innymi w Teatrze Dramatycznym, Teatrze Studio, Teatrze Powszechnym w Warszawie, w Starym Teatrze, Teatrze Ludowym i Łaźni Nowej w Krakowie, Teatrze Współczesnym i Teatrze Polskim w Podziemiu we Wrocławiu, w teatrach w Legnicy, Wałbrzychu, Łodzi, Lublinie, Gdańsku, Gnieźnie, Poznaniu, Kielcach.
